How the scheme works

1

Recommend us to a friend or family member

Tell them we can help, and tell them that you will receive a £350 fee from us if their case settles. The scheme is for people you know, not the public.

2

They contact us directly

Your friend gets in touch with us themselves, emails us photographs of the disrepair, and tells us you recommended them within 14 days of first contacting us.

3

You receive £350

The fee is payable once the case settles in your friend's favour and legal costs of at least £1,000 are payable by the landlord. We will contact you to arrange payment.

Who can take part

The scheme is open to established clients of Antony Hodari Solicitors, recommending as individuals. It applies only to your friends and family and must not be offered to people you do not know. It is not available to businesses, claims management companies, or anyone introducing clients in the course of a business. We pay for a maximum of ten recommendations in any calendar year.

What your friend needs to do

  • Contact us directly: call 0345 504 0005, message us on WhatsApp, or complete the enquiry form on this page. We are prohibited by law from paying a fee if you pass your friend's details to us; they must make contact themselves
  • Email photographs of the disrepair to info@antonyhodari.co.uk. You can send these on their behalf if that is easier
  • Tell us they were recommended by you, giving your full name, within 14 days of first contacting us
You must tell your friend that you will receive a fee for recommending us, and how much it is. We will also let them know when the fee has been paid to you.

Being open with your friend

We are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Our advice to your friend will be impartial and will not be affected or influenced by your recommendation. We are under no obligation to accept a recommended case, and once your friend is our client our duty of confidentiality means we cannot update you on how their case is progressing.

When the fee is paid

  • The fee is payable only once the case has settled in your friend's favour and legal costs of at least £1,000 are payable by the defendant
  • No fee is payable if only small claims costs are awarded
  • No fee is payable if your friend or Antony Hodari Solicitors ends the retainer before the claim settles
  • We will contact you to arrange payment once the conditions are met

  2. Subject to compliance with all the terms of this agreement, Antony Hodari Solicitors will, at their discretion, pay you for recommending clients to us.
  3. The fee is £350.00 and shall not be payable to you until the case is settled in our client’s favour and legal costs of at least £1000 are payable by the defendants. No fee shall be payable if “small claims” costs are awarded.

  5. Antony Hodari Solicitors reserves the right at its absolute discretion to amend this fee from time to time without notice.
  6. You or your friend/family member must email photographs of the disrepair and the client must contact us directly. We are prohibited by law from making payment if you supply the client details to us. They must tell us of the recommendation within 14 days of contacting us.
  7. You are an individual established client of the firm and are not acting in the course of any business when making a recommendation. You are not involved in claims management. The scheme will apply only to your friends and family and must not be offered to people you do not know.

  13. You must inform the recommended client that you will receive a fee and the amount of that fee for recommending our services.
  14. We will not pay you for more than ten recommendations in any calendar year.
  15. We both acknowledge that no element of the fee relates to any personal injury which may or may not relate to a housing case. No fee will be payable where it is illegal for us to pay a referral fee.
  16. We may terminate this agreement at any time.
  17. There will be no fee payable if the recommended client or Antony Hodari Solicitors terminates their retainer before settlement of the claim.
